As a member of Young Conaway's Intellectual Property Litigation Section, Andrew litigates intellectual-property and commercial disputes in the District of Delaware and the state courts. Prior to joining Young Conaway, Andrew clerked for Chief Justice Myron T. Steele of the Delaware Supreme Court, and, before that, President Judge Henry duPont Ridgely of the Delaware Superior Court. Andrew is a co-founder of the Delaware Intellectual Property Law Blog, www.delawareiplaw.com. He received the firm's William F. Taylor Pro Bono Award in 2008.
Andrew has been involved as primary counsel in a number of significant cases, including Block Financial Corp. v. Inisoft Corp. (defense of trade secret misappropriation claim concerning source code for tax-preparation software) and In re Protein Sciences Corporation (defense of involuntary bankruptcy petition filed against vaccine manufacturer). He has also served as Delaware counsel in numerous intellectual-property and commercial disputes
Beyond his legal work, Andrew is active in the community. He is a member of the District of Delaware Federal Civil Panel, where he represents, on a pro bono basis, parties in a variety of litigation before the federal courts. Andrew is also an associate member of the Delaware Board of Bar Examiners and a board member of the Delaware Center for Justice, Inc., a non-profit criminal justice organization. From 2005 to 2007, Andrew chaired the Delaware State Bar Association's New Lawyers Section.
