Adria B. Martinelli was quoted by Eric Ruth in his recent article entitled, "Texting, work don't mix," which was featured in the Delaware News Journal. The article focused on the State of Delaware's upcoming cell-phone ban on calling or texting while driving which takes effect in 2011. This law has "heightened the risk that employers can be held liable in civil court for any accidents that occur" while driving on company business. Adria noted that "[h]aving a policy in place...isn't an absolute safeguard against legal liability, but it will certainly help" an employer's case.
