Richard J.A. Popper is a partner in the Wilmington law firm of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP. He graduated in 1974 from Tufts University with a B.S. in Mathematics, magna cum laude, received his J.D. in 1977 from the National Law Center, George Washington University, with honors, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University in 1982. Mr. Popper is included in the current Edition of The Best Lawyers in America┬« and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Mr. Popper has published several articles in tax and other professional publications, and has spoken frequently at seminars on tax and estate planning and estate administration matters. He is a member of the Wilmington Tax Group and the Delaware Estate Planning Council. In 1991-92, he served as Chair of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Delaware State Bar Association; he remains an active member of the Estates and Trust Section and was Chair of the Tax Section of the Delaware State Bar Association in 2001-2002.
