Terri has practiced employment law at Young Conaway since 1988. She has defended class action claims brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (sexual harassment), the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (immigration discrimination), and the U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (race discrimination in hiring). She has tried cases before juries, state and federal judges, administrative agencies, hearing officers and arbitrators. She advises companies regarding compliance with employment and labor law. Terri also conducts internal investigations of claims of sexual harassment and other work-related misconduct. Her clients include both private and public sector organizations. She has spoken frequently at seminars on employment law and contributes frequently to Young Conaway’s Delaware Employment Law Blog.
Terri’s volunteer community and professional commitments include serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of Westside Health, Inc. (http://www.westsidehealth.org/), a non-profit that provides primary health care services without regard to the patient’s ability to pay at three locations in New Castle County. She is also the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection, an arm of the Delaware Supreme Court. She is a member of the Board of Editors of The Delaware Lawyer. She also serves as the Chair of Young Conaway’s Women’s Initiative Subcommittee.
