Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor hosted a Pro Bono Fair on October 23, 2024 during "Pro Bono Week."
The Pro Bono Fair was a gathering of legal professionals to learn about pro bono and community service opportunities from representatives of the following organizations:
- LYTE
- The WRK Group
- ACLU Delaware
- Child, Inc.
- Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.
- Delaware Volunteer Legal Services
- Legal Services Corporation of Delaware
- Delaware Office of the Child Advocate
- Limited Legal Assistance Program
The National Celebration of Pro Bono ("Pro Bono Week"), taking place from October 20-26, 2024, highlights the contributions of lawyers, paralegals, and law students. Pro bono work is a professional responsibility and ethical obligation, encouraging attorneys to provide their expertise to underserved individuals and communities. Pro Bono Week motivates the legal community to organize training and educational events, inspiring more professionals to participate in pro bono efforts. |
Young Conaway fosters a strong pro bono culture, with its attorneys and staff contributing over 8,500 hours to pro bono and DEI projects in fiscal year 2023. The firm also led Delaware’s large firms in attorney participation during the 2022 Combined Campaign for Justice, supporting CLASI, DVLS, and the Legal Services Corporation of Delaware.
