William Johnston to Become Chair-Elect of the ABA Business Law Section

Young Conaway's Corporate Partner William Johnston will be participating in two programs this week during the ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting.  He will moderate a program entitled, “View from the Bench and Bar: Best Practices for Inside and Outside Counsel Partnering to Achieve Effective Case Management and Trial Management.” Panelists will include The Honorable Gail A. Andler (Complex Civil Litigation Panel, Orange County Superior Court, Santa Ana, California), The Honorable Alvin W. Thompson (United States District Court Judge, District of Connecticut), Jennifer G. Cooper (partner, Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC), David Jaffe (founder and principal, Jaffe Counsel plc; former General Counsel of Guardian Industries Corp.), and Thomas L. Sager (partner, Ballard Spahr LLP; former General Counsel of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company). In addition, Mr. Johnston will be speaking during a program entitled “How to Become a Section Leader.”

At the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, Mr. Johnston will become Chair-Elect of the Section. He will serve as Chair starting in September 2016. He will be the third Delawarean to serve as Chair, during what will then be the Section’s 78-year history.
