Powell Elected to Second Term on Permanent Editorial Board

WILMINGTON, DE -- At its June 2017 meeting in Detroit, the Board of Governors of the America Bar Association elected Norman M. Powell to a second three-year term as the ABA’s Advisor to the Permanent Editorial Board for the Uniform Commercial Code. Composed of members from the American Law Institute (to which Mr. Powell was elected in 2011) and the Uniform Law Commission, the Board monitors current drafting activities of the Uniform Commercial Code, prepares commentaries, and advises its member organizations on further changes needed in the Uniform Commercial Code. Mr. Powell is a partner at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP in Wilmington, and teaches Secured Transactions Under UCC Article 9 as an adjunct professor at the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia.
