William E. Gamgort Appointed Chair of Young Conaway's Complex and Specialty Litigation Section
Young Conaway is pleased to announce that firm management has appointed William E. Gamgort to serve as chair of the Complex and Specialty Litigation section. He succeeds the former chair, Anthony G. Flynn, Sr., who has led the section for more than 20 years.
The Complex and Specialty Litigation section represents local, national and international clients, including Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, insurance companies, and governments at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal court and before administrative bodies and agencies. Our attorneys regularly handle matters before the esteemed Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware and in the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Docket (CCLD). Several of our litigators also serve on the Superior Court’s CCLD Advisory Committee.
Young Conaway’s Complex and Specialty Litigation attorneys focus on commercial litigation, broken deal litigation, business and contract disputes, representation of government bodies, product liability and mass tort defense, insurance coverage and indemnification disputes, disputes involving real estate and construction, environmental matters, and admiralty. They have extensive experience litigating high-value claims and complex actions involving multiple plaintiffs, intertwining and conflicting laws, cases of first impression, and those involving challenging discovery or expedited tracks.
Complex litigation often involves atypical issues, including international laws, media scrutiny, political ramifications, and varied stakeholders. The section is well versed in this type of litigation and has a long record of successfully resolving such disputes. While our attorneys always seek the most cost-effective and judicious solutions for our clients, they are always prepared for courtroom advocacy and have a stellar trial record.
