Young Conaway Lights Up Purple and Gold for the Forward into Light Campaign
Young Conaway is pleased to announce its participation in the nationwide Forward into Light Campaign.
On August 26, 2020, the Courthouse on Rodney Square will light up purple and gold as part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution granting the women’s right to vote.
The Forward into Light campaign was launched by the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. The campaign’s name honors the historic suffrage slogan, “Forward through the Darkness, Forward into Light.” The campaign has attracted additional support from the Library of Congress, National Archives, and the National Park Service. Locally, Young Conaway will be joining the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Grand Opera House, and others in lighting building exteriors in celebration of this occasion. All are encouraged to share the event on social media using #ForwardIntoLight.
