First Circuit Upholds Warrantless Border Searches

In a recent ruling, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit held that searches of cellphones and other electronic devices at the U.S. border do not require a warrant or even probable cause and that these searches were not limited to searches for contraband. Alasaad v.
