Corporate Litigation and Counseling Partner William Johnston Named to Legal Services Corporation’s Leaders Council
Corporate Litigation and Counseling partner William D. Johnston has been elected by the Board of Directors of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) to become a member of the LSC Leaders Council. The mission of the Council is to “help raise public awareness across the country of the crisis in civil legal aid and the importance of providing equal access to our justice system to low-income Americans.” Mr. Johnston is a member of Young Conaway's Pro Bono Committee and is a pro bono attorney with Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc. (DVLS). He is a Past Co-Chair of the Combined Campaign for Justice. In addition, he twice chaired the DSBA’s Pro Se Litigation Assistance Committee, and he served as Vice Chair of the DSBA’s Committee on the Provision of Legal Services to Low Income People of Delaware.
