Biography
Alpa focuses on representing and advising employers on a broad spectrum of workplace issues. Alpa’s practice includes representing Delaware employers in employment discrimination matters both at the administrative level and in federal and state courts and providing guidance on personnel policies and handbooks. In addition, she represents public and private schools in a variety of student matters including special education disputes.
Alpa has significant experience with administrative proceedings such as Title IX hearings and employment disputes before the Merit Employee Relations Board. She also has experience, and a particular interest, in both advising on and litigating issues involving restrictive covenants such as non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Alpa gained valuable litigation experience in general civil litigation, and has handled a range of matters in both state and federal court, including contract disputes, employment discrimination, defamation, and construction disputes. This diverse litigation background informs her strategic approach and enables her to provide practical, well-rounded guidance to clients facing complex legal challenges.
