Culture At Young Conaway

Young Conaway promotes a collaborative culture where individuals can bring their authentic selves and their diverse talents and perspectives to achieve common goals.  Open communication, trust, and mutual respect are prioritized.

Young Conaway’s attorneys and business professionals understand that collaboration also involves active participation and collective problem-solving.  All are encouraged to build stronger connections at work across departments and in their communities by participating in pro bono matters or volunteering at local organizations.

You are encouraged to explore our Careers site to learn how Young Conaway’s collaborative spirit inspires innovation, enhances professional development, and deepens relationships, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling work experience.

DEI
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are integral to fostering a culture where all individuals feel welcomed, valued, and are treated justly and equitably. At Young Conaway, we are devoted to attracting, retaining, and advancing skilled attorneys and business professionals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion enhances our Firm and fosters the professional growth of each team member, ultimately enabling us to better address the distinct needs of all our clients.

Partnerships & Community Engagement

“Community First” has been a fundamental principle of Young Conaway since the Firm was founded in 1959.  One of the ways we give back to our community is through financial contributions from both the Firm and individual partners. We prioritize financially supporting organizations that make a difference.  The organizations we support feed local residents, provide legal services to the indigent, and provide a number of other important services for those in need.

Pro Bono
Billable Hour Credit

Young Conaway offers all attorneys a 100 billable hour credit towards all pro bono representations, service in the community, or work to promote diversity efforts.

YC Gives Back Program

Our business professionals are encouraged to volunteer at a charity of their choice or work together with colleagues on a team volunteer activity or pro bono activity.

William F. Taylor Award & H. James Conaway Jr. Award

These awards are presented annually by Young Conaway to an associate and a partner who have provided exemplary pro bono legal service to the community and the Bar over the past year.  A contribution is given by the Firm in the attorney's name to the charity of his or her choice.
