The Complex and Specialty Litigation practice at Young Conaway represents business clients, insurance companies, and public and non-profit entities in litigation arising from disputes in a variety of transactions, including indemnification and insurance coverage; land use, construction, foreclosure, condemnation and commercial real estate; environmental matters; and admiralty. In particular, attorneys in our practice handle cases in the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Docket (CCLD). Our practice also defends companies in mass tort and toxic tort litigation, in both state and federal courts. Our representation includes alternative dispute resolution and appellate practice in all these areas. We also assist clients in the placement of insurance.
We also represent clients in administrative proceedings before the Delaware Insurance Commissioner, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control, and local land use agencies.
Our attorneys are active in numerous professional organizations, including the Delaware State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court, and the National Diocesan Attorneys Association. Tim Houseal and Mary Dugan are members of the Superior Court’s CCLD Advisory Committee, and Tony Flynn and Bill Gamgort represent the Delaware Contractors Association.
