Biography

May focuses her practice on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and in the Complex Commercial Litigation Division ("CCLD") of the Delaware Superior Court.  Prior to becoming a lawyer, May earned her B.S. in civil engineering, with a concentration in environmental engineering, from Temple University. After graduating college, she worked with a general contractor on multi-million-dollar projects and completed a two-year management trainee program.  Because of her background as an engineer, May has keen attention to detail and an eagerness to understand how things work in complex corporate and commercial disputes.

May graduated magna cum laude from Penn State Dickinson Law, where she was a research assistant, the President of the Intellectual Property Society, a teaching assistant for Property Law and Business Entities, and a member of the Community Law Clinic, which aided low-income individuals in family law matters.

During law school, May received awards for having the highest grade in the class in Criminal Law, Professional Responsibility, Introduction to Intellectual Property Law, Artificial Intelligence Law, and Family Law.  Upon graduation, she received the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Eric D. Turner Award, which is given to a student who best exemplifies the positive attributes of a matrimonial lawyer, and the Lewis Katz Scholar Award.  May is also a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, representing graduation in the top 15% of the class.
