Richard W. Nenno and Vincent C. Thomas Presenting at 56th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning

Senior Counsel Richard W. Nenno and Partner Vincent C. Thomas of Young Conaway's Business Planning and Tax Group will speak at the 56th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, which is being held virtually March 28 - April 1, 2022.   

Richard W. Nenno, who is blind, will speak Tuesday, March 29th, on a panel entitled, "Ethics and Professionalism in Today’s Society: How to Discuss, Address and Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Your Trusts and Estates Practice and with Your Clients."  Mr. Nenno will be joined by Steven K. Mignogna, Gerard G. Brew, Crystal West Edwards, and Terrence M. Franklin - each of whom will share personal experiences in dealing with diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias, and challenges to those with disabilities.

Vincent C. Thomas will join Mr. Nenno on Thursday, March 31st, for a panel discussion entitled, "State Income Taxation of Trusts: Even Florida Practitioners Should Know This Stuff!"  During the presentation, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Nenno will emphasize how practitioners in no-tax states have a duty to advise new clients with trusts created in locales such as California, New Jersey, or New York as to what can be done to minimize state and personal income taxes. Matt Brown, Toni Ann Kruse, and Karin Prangley will also participate in this discussion.
