Young Conaway Elects Elena C. Norman to Management Committee

WILMINGTON, Delaware (January 10, 2023) – Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP is proud to announce the election of partner Elena C. Norman as a member of the firm’s Management Committee.  Ms. Norman assumed her new role on January 1, 2023 and joined the firm’s current Management Committee members:  Chair, Robert S. Brady, Vice Chair, Michael R. Nestor, and partners C. Barr Flinn, Anne Shea Gaza, Edwin J. Harron, and James P. Hughes, Jr.  She succeeds partner Rolin P. Bissell, who served on the Management Committee for over 6 years.

Elena C. Norman

Partner Elena C. Norman has extensive experience litigating corporate and complex business disputes, primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery. She has litigated numerous high profile actions involving derivative claims, contests for corporate control, M&A, governance, complex contracts, alternative entities, demands for books and records, and statutory appraisal/valuation disputes. In addition, Ms. Norman regularly counsels boards of directors and senior management on Delaware corporate law, and has represented special committees. Ms. Norman has been recognized by her peers for inclusion in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.  She has also been featured in the 2022 edition of Chambers USA- America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Ms. Norman is a member of the Corporation Law Council of the Delaware State Bar Association, which is the Committee responsible for formulating and recommending to the Delaware Assembly amendments to the Delaware General Corporation Law, after approval by the Delaware State Bar Association. She clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Ms. Norman is admitted to practice in Delaware.
