Wilmington, DE –  The American Law Institute will present an all-day, advanced level seminar in New York City on Friday, May 11.  Subtitled “Critical Issues Below the Surface,” the seminar will include seven presentations addressing significant issues often overlooked in the most challenging secured lending transactions and strategies for surmounting those issues.  Norman M. Powell, together with Teresa Wilton Harmon and Professor Neil B. Cohen, will present a session entitled, “Who is the Debtor?  The Curious Case of Trusts, LLPs, Series LLCs, and Related Entities.”  The program is based in part on Mr. Powell’s articles, Filings Against Trusts and Trustees Under the Proposed Revisions to Current Article 9 – Thirteen Variations, 42 UCC L.J. 375 (2010), and Secured Lending to Series of LLCs:  Beware What You Do Not (and Cannot) Know, 46 UCC L.J. 95 (2015).
