Pilar focuses her practice on patent infringement litigation, trade secret, and complex commercial litigation matters in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division. Pilar has handled a wide range of intellectual property disputes as both lead and Delaware counsel, including representations involving pharmaceuticals, high-performance liquid chromatography, medical devices, stun guns, computer software, Internet technology, data cables and connectors, and consumer electronics and display devices. Pilar has also litigated complex commercial cases, such as breach of contract and fraud.

On a pro bono basis, Pilar has successfully represented clients in Delaware state courts involving breach of contract and family law matters. In the District of Delaware, Pilar has represented a prisoner in a civil rights action, securing a favorable settlement for the plaintiff and resulting in a consent agreement in which the Department of Correction agreed to comprehensive changes to the prison system in the State of Delaware.

Pilar is a member of Young Conaway’s Business Development Committee and managing editor of the Delaware IP Law Blog, www.delawareiplaw.com.
