Young Conaway is Proud to be a Member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD)
Young Conaway is proud to be a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). Founded in 2009, the LCLD is made up of more than 400 members, who serve as either general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation's leading law firms. These members have pledged themselves and their organizations to lead by example, take action, and challenge the legal profession to prepare future generations of diverse talent for the highest positions of leadership.
Young Conaway’s Vice-Chair and Partner, Michael R. Nestor, shared his commitment to create real and lasting change through his pledge to become an LCLD Leader at the Front. “It is critical that Young Conaway and other Delaware firms join together and implement diversity, equity and inclusion best practices, and achieve social justice and racial equity within the Delaware bar,” said Mike Nestor. “I hope that my public pledge will inspire others to become involved with the important efforts promoted by the LCLD.”
Mike Nestor will guide the firm’s participation in multiple programs offered by the LCLD including 1L Scholars, law school mentoring and the Pathfinders and Fellows program. He also plans to attend the upcoming LCLD Leadership Summit and engage with other leaders from law firms and corporations committed to DEI.
