Young Conaway’s IP Litigators Named IP Stars by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WILMINGTON, DE - Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP is pleased to announce that four of our partners have been named IP Stars by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine.
- Anne Shea Gaza, Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation section, received a 2021 Patent IP Star ranking. Ms. Gaza was named Practitioner of the Year (Litigation) in Delaware at the Managing IP Awards 2021 ceremony earlier in April. This additional award was presented in recognition of her achievements in all aspects of dispute resolution, and especially in litigation before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, where she has extensive experience serving as counsel for leading technology and life sciences companies. Ms. Gaza is also recognized by Managing Intellectual Property as one of the Top 250 Women Practitioners in IP for 2021.
- Adam W. Poff, Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation section along with Ms. Gaza, received both the 2021 Patent IP Star and the 2021 Trademark IP Star ranking from Managing IP Awards. Mr. Poff has handled, in both lead and Delaware counsel capacities, a wide variety of intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright disputes across a number of industries and technologies.
- Pilar G. Kraman, an Intellectual Property Litigation Partner, also received the 2021 Patent IP Star ranking for Delaware. Ms. Kraman concentrates her practice on patent infringement litigation, trade secret, and complex commercial litigation matters in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and Delaware’s state courts. She has handled a wide range of intellectual property disputes as both lead and Delaware counsel, including representations involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer software, Internet technology, and consumer electronics.
- Melanie K. Sharp, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Section, was also recognized as a 2021 Patent IP Star. Although Ms. Sharp litigates patent disputes (including those involving biosimilars, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices) in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, she also serves as Delaware and lead counsel to clients navigating complex intellectual property, commercial and corporate matters in Delaware’s Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division.
IP STARS rankings are based on extensive research and analysis across 151 jurisdictions, covering 1,645 firms and 7,100 practitioners. Editors review publicly available data, as well as outcomes achieved for clients. Colleagues and clients rely on IP Stars rankings because the research is conducted impartially and no firm can pay to be included.
