Young Conaway Affinity Groups

Young Conaway's affinity groups are organized around shared experiences and are responsible for sponsoring activities and discussions that promote inclusion, diversity and other changes in the workplace. While these groups can be infinite, our current affinity groups appear below. All members of the Young Conaway community are welcome to join our affinity groups.  

Women's Affinity Group

The core purpose is to Encourage and Champion the success of YCST women and allies through fostering meaningful connections within the group and the Firm. We are open to all Firm members and focus on encouraging inclusivity, understanding, and the sharing of wisdom, resources, and camaraderie.


The mission of the LGBTQ+ Affinity Group is to: (1) grow Young Conaway's culture of support for the LGBTQ+ community within the firm, the Delaware Bar and the State of Delaware through hiring, retaining and mentoring attorneys and staff who identify as LGBTQ+; (2) support the LGBTQ+ section of the DSBA; and (3) back LGBTQ+ causes in the State of Delaware.

First Generation

The mission of the First Generation Affinity Group is to learn the challenges and accomplishments of first generation professionals, to have a mutually beneficial exchange of information with the hope of bridging the divide by exposing inequities and getting others to become passionate about doing the same.

Military, Veterans and First Responders

We facilitate the inclusion of veterans, military members, and their families into the Young Conaway community by supporting recruitment, retention, comradery, and ongoing success in collaboration with like minded organizations. Our vision is to provide a forum with the purpose of enhancing, both professionally and personally, the advancement and recognition of employees with direct (active, reserve and guard components, retired and prior service) and indirect military affiliations within Young Conaway and the community.

READY (Retaining, Engaging, and Amplifying Diversity at YCST)

The purpose of READY is to foster communication and understanding among diverse groups within the Firm, retain diverse professionals within the Firm, and promote the professional development and collective interests of READY members.
