Norman M. Powell to Speak at the ACMA 43rd Annual Meeting

The American College of Mortgage Attorneys 43rd Annual Meeting will take place Thursday, September 22 through Saturday, September 24, 2016. The meeting will cover legal issues and ethical approaches addressing the highs and lows of the ever-dynamic economic cycle affecting real estate and lending markets.

Norman M. Powell will be a panelist for “Taking Delaware Limited Liability Company Interests as Collateral for the Loan.” The panel will discuss the creation and enforcement of security interests in “membership interests” in Delaware limited liability companies, priority issues, and the problems that might arise when a lender seeks to foreclose on loans secured by both real and personal property. Other panelists during this session include Bradley N. Gibson, Esq. of First American Corporation and Dennis B. Arnold, Esq. of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. The session will be moderated by Paul L. Hamman of the First American Title Insurance Company.
