Young Conaway Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Partner, Sharon Zieg, will be a panelist at the ABA Business Law Section Spring Meeting in Atlanta, GA on April 1, 2022.  The panel will provide an overview of recent opioid manufacturer bankruptcies, including Insys Therapeutics, Purdue Pharma and Mallinckrodt.  In particular, the panel will focus on the bankruptcy court's ability to channel opioid liabilities to a trust, consensual third-party releases, and due process concerns.

Ms. Zieg will be joined on the panel by the Hon. Robert Drain, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, SDNY; Edward Neiger, Co- Managing Partner, ASK LLP; and Jeffrey Bjork, Partner, Latham & Watkins LLP.  The panel is moderated by Karen Zeituni, Counsel, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
