On Thursday, February 26, 2009, Lyons Companies will be offering a seminar entitled "Fulfilling your COBRA Obigations During Difficult Economic Times." During this seminar, Timothy J. Snyder, a partner in Young Conaway's Tax and Benefits Section, will be discussing compliance with COBRA notice rules and the rules that determine when COBRA benefits can be terminated. COBRA premiums and the federal subsidy of such premiums in the proposed Economic Stimulus bill will also be reviewed, if enacted.
Mr. Snyder represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, United States Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and state and local taxing authorities. He is also a frequent speaker on issues relating to employee benefits and tax-exempt organizations.
