Biography

Tanner practices corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and in the Complex Commercial Litigation Division (“CCLD”) of the Delaware Superior Court.

Before joining Young Conaway, Tanner served as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps where he worked in the Legal Assistance and Administrative offices in the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, and then as the Chief of the Military Justice Division at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Through these positions, Tanner earned valuable litigation experience, as well as practical experience in a multitude of legal arenas, including tax law, wills and trusts, family law, and criminal law.

Tanner graduated from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 2018. At Dickinson Law, he participated in the John J. Gibbons Criminal Procedure moot court team and worked as a research assistant focusing on international trial advocacy.  Tanner earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from The Citadel in 2015.

In addition to serving his clients, Tanner is a proud member of the Delaware National Guard JAG Corps where he advises soldiers and military commanders in all areas of military law.
