FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(WILMINGTON) – Young Conaway is pleased to announce that two of our attorneys have been selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2024 Fellows and Pathfinders Programs.

Samantha G. Wilson, a Partner in Young Conaway’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group, has been named a LCLD Fellow for 2024. The LCLD Fellows program offers high-potential, mid-career attorneys (eight to 15 years’ experience) with professional and personal development opportunities as well as leadership training, relationship-building resources and access to other LCLD Members, including managing partners and general counsel, for mentoring and guidance.

Daniel M. Cole, an Associate in Young Conaway’s Business Planning and Tax Group, has been named a 2024 LCLD Pathfinder. The seven-month Pathfinder program provides participants with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession.  Conceived as a supplement to training initiatives already in place at LCLD Member law firms, the Pathfinder program offers practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks, leadership skills and an understanding of career development strategies.

“Amid the challenges to DEI, we are once again excited to be able to connect high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds with these unmatched programs focused on leadership and relationship building,” said Robert J. Grey Jr., president of LCLD. “Since their inception more than two decades ago, the LCLD Fellow and Pathfinder programs have produced some of the most prominent leaders in our industry and it is gratifying to see another outstanding class this year.”

“Serving as an LCLD Fellow or Pathfinder is a terrific opportunity for our attorneys to develop new relationships with industry leaders and expand their own leadership skills.” - Vice-Chair and Partner Michael Nestor.

As a member of LCLD’s Leaders at the Front initiative, Mike encourages others both within the firm and Delaware’s legal community to participate in these programs. “Young Conaway is proud to support the efforts of the LCLD which uses its resources and influence to promote positive change in the legal community.”

The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged themselves, through our Leaders at the Front initiative and other means, to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. Our action programs are designed to attract, inspire, and nurture the talent in society and within our organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. By producing tangible results in our institutions, we work to promote inclusiveness in our organizations, our circles of influence, and our society, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.
